The Palaeontological-Historical Museum of Ptolemaida houses varied collections depicting the history of the Eordaia region through time. Fossils, ancient historical pottery and sculptures, traditional costumes and everyday objects of rural households make up a comprehensive portrait of the distant and more recent past. The Municipal Art Gallery, which is housed in the same building, hosts, beyond its own permanent collection, periodic exhibitions and various cultural events.
