SOSTIS (Municipality) KOMOTINI
The Municipality of Sostis was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 7 Municipal Districts, the former communities of:
1. Assomati,
2. Polyanthon
and the settlements of:
1.Kerassea,
2. Linos,
3. Mega Piston,
4. Mischos,
5. Sostis of the former community of Sostis.
Municipality seat is Sostis, village of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 6632 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
