Municipality of Agrinion

AGRINIO (Municipality) ETOLOAKARNANIA
The Municipality of Agrinion was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 7 Municipal Districts, the former municipalities of:
1. Agios Konstantinos,
2. Agrinion,
and the former communities of:
1. Agios Nikolaos,
2. Dokimion,
3. Kalyvia,
4. Kamaroula,
5. Skoutessiada.
Municipality seat is Agrinio, city of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 52081 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
