LAMBI (Municipality) RETHYMNO
The Municipality of Lambis was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 16 Municipal Districts, the former communities of:
1. Agia Galini,
2. Akoumia,
3. Ardaktos,
4. Drimiskos,
5. Karines,
6. Kentrochorion,
7. Kerames,
8. Kissos,
9. Krya Vryssi,
10. Lambini,
11. Melambes,
12. Mourne,
13. Myxorrouma,
14. Orne,
15. Saktouria,
16. Spilion.
Municipality seat is Spili, village of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 5944 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
