NEA KYDONIA (Municipality) CHANIA
The Municipality of Nea Kydonia was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 2 Municipal Districts, the former municipality of:
1. Nea Kydonia (Galatas)
and the former community of:
1. Agia Marina.
Municipality seat is Galatas, small town of Nea Kydonia, municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 5007 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
The municipality, in addition to le above law, is consisted by two more Municipal Districts:
1. Daratsos
2. Stalos
