MONI AGIOU ANTONIOU VRONTISSIOU (Monastery) HERAKLIO
A beautiful Venetian fountain at the entrance dates back to around
the fifteenth century. It is one of the most artistic fountains in Crete. It depicts
Adam and Eve and the four rivers of Eden, with water flowing from them.
The spring provides the water for artificial lakes in which fish are
farmed and for a flour mill.
