Archaeological Collection of Mithymna

It is housed in the old Town Hall building a beautiful eclectic construction, built in the beginning of the 20th century. The collection includes the archaeological finds of the wider area of Mythimna: vessels, statuettes, inscriptions, burial offerings, sarcophagi from the archaic cemetery and coins of the ancient town and finally amphorae for the transportation of liquids coming from the Spanish coasts, North Africa, Chios and Samos (4th century BC to 6th century AD).
