The citadel (akropolis) of ancient Kreusis lies on the east slope of mount Korombili.
The fortification walls with towers of the 4th cent. B.C. - of initial length of c. 300 ms -
are preserved in a good condition. Kreusis and the nearby
Siphai
were the ports of ancient
Thespies.
On a low hill opposite the akropolis of Kreusis stands a medieval
tower (14th cent A.D.).
