Behind the village on the hill called Koukos one can find the ruins of a walled-in hamlet and its cemetery. The excavations have brought to light important buildings and every day utensils of the settlement which are dated from the 10th-8th c BC. It seems that a wall of width 1.20m and remaining height of 0.80m was founded during the same period. In 1992, a mould was found indicating the local metal work activity. Up to date, 98 graves have been unearthed. The evidence shows that bodies were cremated, the ashes placed in clay pots and urns and then put into graves or specially built shelves, while some of them contained valuables.
