ORESTIDA (Municipality) KASTORIA
The Municipality of Orestida was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 13 Municipal Districts, the former municipality of
1. Argos Orestikon
and the former communities of:
1. Agios Ilias,
2. Ammoudara,
3. Asproklissia,
4. Vrachos,
5. Dialekton,
6. Kastanofyton,
7. Langa,
8. Lakomata,
9. Melanthion,
10. Nostimon,
11. Spilea,
12. Spilios.
Municipality seat is Argos Orestiko, city of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 9314 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
