Municipality seat is Ermoupoli, city of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 14288 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
POSSIDONIA (Municipality) SYROS
The Municipality of Posidonia was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 3 Municipal Districts, the former communities of:
1. Vari,
2. Posidonia,
3. Finix.
Municipality seat is Episkopi, village of the former community of Posidonia. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 2565 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
