1. Asfendiou,
2. Pylion.
Municipality seat is Ziparion, small town of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 5371 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
IRAKLIDES (Municipality) KOS
The Municipality of Heraklides was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 3 Municipal Districts, the former communities of:
1. Antimachia,
2. Kardamena,
3. Kefalos.
Municipality seat is Antimachia, small town of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 6294 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
KOS (Municipality) DODEKANISSOS
The Municipality of Kos was not affected by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan).
The population was 14714 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
NISSYROS (Municipality) DODEKANISSOS
The Municipality of Nissyros was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 3 Municipal Districts, the former municipality of
1. Nissyros
and the former communities of:
1. Emborios,
2. Nikia.
Municipality seat is Nissyros, village of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 929 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
