Municipality of Amani

The Municipality of Amani was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 15 Municipal Districts, the former communities of:
1. Agion Gala,
2. Volissos,
3. Diefcha,
4. Keramos,
5. Kourounia,
6. Leptopoda,
7. Melanios,
8. Nea Potamia,
9. Nenitouria,
10. Parparia,
11. Pirama,
12. Pispilouda,
13. Trypes,
14. Fyta,
15. Chalandra.
Municipality seat is Volissos, village of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 2214 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census
