Municipality of Ypati

The Municipality of Ypati was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 16 Municipal Districts, the former municipality of:
1. Ypati
and the former communities of:
1. Argyrochorion,
2. Vassilika,
3. Dafni,
4. Kastanea,
5. Kobotades,
6. Ladikou,
7. Loutra Ypatis,
8. Lychnon,
9. Mexiates,
10. Mesochorion Ypatis,
11. Neochorion Ypatis,
12. Peristerion,
13. Pyrgos,
14. Rodonia,
15. Syka Ypatis.
Municipality seat is Ypati, village of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 6795 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
