Municipality of Egira
The Municipality of Egira was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 10 Municipal Districts, the former communities of:
1. Egira,
2. Eges,
3. Vela,
4. Exochi,
5. Monastirion,
6. Oasis,
7. Perithorion,
8. Seliana,
9. Sinevron,
10. Chryssambeli.
Municipality seat is Egira, small town of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 4211 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
