Municipality of Pamvotida

The Municipality of Pamvotida was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 14 Municipal Districts, the former communities of:
1. Anatoliki,
2. Vasiliki,
3. Dafnoula,
4. Drosochorion,
5. Iliokali,
6. Kastritsa,
7. Katsikas,
8. Koutselion,
9. Krapsi,
10. Longades,
11. Mouzakei,
12. Platania
and the settlements of:
1. Platanos,
2. Charokopion, of the former community of Petrovounion.
Municipality seat is Katsikas, small town of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 9762 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
