LAPPEI (Municipality) RETHYMNO
The Municipality of Lapes was founded by Law 2539/1997 (Kapodistria Plan), consists of 6 Municipal Districts the former municipality of:
1. Episkopi
and the former communities of:
1. Argyroupoli,
2. Viladendron,
3. Kato Poros,
4. Myriokefala.
Municipality seat is Episkopi, village of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 2585 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
