Trampya (Voutonosi)

  A city below Metsovon in S Epeiros, reputedly founded by Odysseus (StBiz s.v.). There are remains of a circuit wall ca. 940 m long; and inscriptions and bronzes have been found.

  Stephanus B. mentions a town Tymphaea, which is probably the same place called Trampya (trampua) by others, where Polysperchon, who was a native of this district, murdered Hercules, the son of Alexander the Great.
