The Monastery of the Panagia is situated on the small island of the Panagia which
can be seen by the visitor on entering the harbour of Gaios. Each year on 15th
August, her feast day, boiled meat is served to the faithful. The rocky seashores
and the clear waters are ideal for swimming.
