In the Province's headquarters, at Kolimvari, evening prayer takes place at the church of Gonia the eve of the Assumption. The icon of the Virgin Mary is carried about the village and a military party attributes honors. Vigil follows where the participation of the pilgrims is big. Pilgrims come from every corner of the province.
Also, the local taverns offer good wine and various dishes, there is also folk and Cretan music depending on the liking and the mood of the visitor. The feast goes on and the next day.
