Ducato di Oia is a stylish boutique hotel located in the heart of the historical settlement of Oia, the most northern village on the island. The hotel features ten luxurious cave style suites and rooms, most of which have an indoor or outdoor heated plunge pool and a terrace or balcony with amazing views of the caldera and volcano.
If we were to emphasize on a certain aspect of the hotel, we would mention the spacious bathrooms (some with caldera views!) and the indulging indoor plunge pools.
Further south on the island, in the village of Megalochori, is the Ducato Wine Hotel, a collection of six traditional, stand-alone, luxury-living villas. Themed around wine and wine-related activities, these villas enjoy their privacy, peace and serenity, away from the busy crowds of the island and provide the guest with open spaces in a village that used to be the main wine-producing area of the island.
All of the villas offer an outdoor pool in typically characteristic patios and gardens. The villas and cave houses are scattered around the village square where the hotel's reception is located, but also Raki Taverna, which is under the same ownership and offers a local dining experience.
It is worth noting that the Ducato Hotels operate year-round, now that the island has so much to offer during the winter.
