General Informations
Kos International Airport "Hippocrates" is located in Antimachia, at a distance of 27 km from the Kos town.
Kos Airport opening was on April 4, 1964, with a runway made of open-asphalt, in a length of 1200m and equipped with lamps with duck shape.
In October 1980, due to passengers’ increase, the new terminal station was inaugurated, while the runway was already extended to 2400 meters since 1973. In 1997 a new arrivals’ building added to the airport facilities. The total area of buildings reaches in 3000 sq.m.

According to a statement issued by Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority on 04/12/2010 the operation hours of Kos International Airport from 03/28/2010 to 10/30/2010 are 00:01-24:00 seven days a week.
