  The building was constructed in 1840 and it was the house of the famous Rhodian professor and author, Ioannis Konstantakis. Despite the simplicity of its form, the building is a characteristic example of the island' s traditional domestic architecture.Today it belongs to the Community of Embona and functions as the local Folklore Museum.
