Gerontovrachos Ski center lies on southwest of Kellaria site, on south area of Parnassos Mountain.

Gerontovrachos site Altitude: 1750 m. up to 2250 m.

Slopes

1 red (Big), 1200 m in length.
1 blue (Middle), 500 m in length.
1 green (Beginners), 150 m in length.

Lifts

2 sliding lifts, 1000 m & 500 m in length.
1 baby-lift.

Accessibility /Road network

Moving on the Arachova – Kellaria site provincial road 3 km before reaching Kellaria, turn right and at a distance of 4 km, is located the ski center.

Operation Period

Gerontovrachos Ski center operates every Friday evening, for night ski, weekends & holidays, from 9 a.m. to 3.30 p.m.

Useful notes

Gerontovrachos Ski Center, which was inaugurated by Konstaninos Karamanlis, operated for first time on 1976. It was a private initiative, in fact, as the owner of the center is the Athens Ski Club (AOFS).
In order to manage a radical overhaul, Gerontovrachos Ski Center operates, since ski season 2006 – 2007, under a new management company, P & T Management S.A. Dimitis Pappos is the new director of the ski center, who is an excellent connoisseur of the mountains and has a forty years experience of them
The restored restaurant operates under the guiding of Santa Marina’s Hotel chefs. From 2009 Ski school Pappos Baldoumis, which has a ski school & ski equipment rental branch in the center, handles lifts, chalet & kids club.
There were also, renovations at the chalet and the other facilities, lifts’ maintenance, parking improvements, purchase of two new snowploughs, while it is planned the establishment of artificial snow facility and a new aerial lift.
There is finally, a ski path connecting Gerontovrachos Ski Center to Parnassos Ski Center - Kellaria site.

To the surroundings, it’s worth to visit:

The Archeological Site of Delphi. At the foot of Parnassos mountain, within landscape, formed between the two giant rocks of Phaedriades, is the Panhellenic sanctuary of Delphi and the most famous oracle of ancient Greece. There you can visit the Temple of Apollo, the place where located the Pythia’s oracle, the theatre of the sanctuary and also visit the Archaeological Museum of Delphi, which is full of regional archaeological finds.
The picturesque town of Arachova, with stone houses, narrow streets, which in our days offers numerous options of accommodation, dinning & entertainment.
Consisting villages of the Municipality of Parnassos, Polydrossos, Lilea and Eptalofos, which mostly are retained the traditional architecture and you can find accommodation services & entertainment.
The Galaxidi, a beautiful traditional small town, with many restaurants & coffee shops by the sea, overlook the Corinthian gulf.
The Monastery of Osios Loukas, the most important Byzantine monument (11th century a. C.), consisting of the church of Virgin Mary, the Katholiko temple, the cells and the rest of buildings, is truly a remarkable place to visit. It’s located 3 km far away from Stiri village and about 40 km from Parnassos Ski Center.
