Cheronia and the former communities of: 1. Agios Vlasios, 2. Akontion, 3. Anthochorion, 4. Vassilika, 5. Thourion, 6. Prossylion, 7. Profitis Ilias. Municipality seat is Cheronia, village of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 2267 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
