Ypati and the former communities of: 1. Argyrochorion, 2. Vassilika, 3. Dafni, 4. Kastanea, 5. Kobotades, 6. Ladikou, 7. Loutra Ypatis, 8. Lychnon, 9. Mexiates, 10. Mesochorion Ypatis, 11. Neochorion Ypatis, 12. Peristerion, 13. Pyrgos, 14. Rodonia, 15. Syka Ypatis. Municipality seat is Ypati, village of the homonymous municipal district. The first authorities were elected in October 1998. The population was 6795 inhabitants, according to the 1991 census.
