 | VASSILIKI (Village) LEFKADA |
 |
 |
The area has been inhabited since very early on. Artefacts from the palaeolithic
and even more from the neolithic eras (ca 3,500 BC) were found by Dörpfeld during
his excavations at Hoirospilia, Evgyros. They are currently on exhibit at the
Archaeological Museum
of Lefkada. According to the Archaeological Service, the remains of ancient
buildings in the valley of Vasiliki most likely belonged to an ancient town.
