Hydrela

  Hydrela (Hudrela), a town in Caria, said to have been founded by Hydrelus, one of three brothers who emigrated from Sparta. (Strab. xiv. p. 650; Steph. B. s. v.; Liv. xxxvii. 56.) The Hydrelitae, no doubt the people of Hydrela (Plin. v. 29), belonged to the conventus of Cibyra.
