This king is said to have adopted, as his son and successor, Telephus, a son of Heracles; and Eurypylus, the son of Telephus, appears in the Odyssey as the ruler of the Ceteii. (Strab. iii. p. 615; Hom. Od. x.520; )   In the district Teuthlania a town of the same name is mentioned as situated between Elaea, Pitane, and Atarneus (Strab. l. c.; Steph. B. s. v.; Xelloph. Hist.
