Nisa

ΝΙΣΑ (Αρχαία πόλη) ΤΟΥΡΚΙΑ
  Near Sutlgen, in the mountains ca. 25 km N of Kas. Mentioned only by Ptolemy and Hierokles and in the episcopal Notitiae. There is no evidence that Nisa was ever a member of the Lycian League; her one known coin (Sammlung von Aulock no. 4373), of the 2d c. B.C., is of nonfederal type.
  The ruins are quite considerable but poorly preserved. They include a theater and a stadium; above the latter is a paved agora with a stoa and a number of inscribed bases. The city wall is partly preserved, in good squared blocks. The necropolis, outside the wall on the W, contains sarcophagi and a few built tombs.
